Major Threats to Sea Turtles
Natural threats to sea turtles differ based on their stage in the life cycle. As they progress a sea turtle’s chance of survival increases.
Sea turtle eggs and hatchlings have more natural predators than older turtles. These include crabs, birds, mammals and fish.
Adult sea turtles are prey to sharks, crocodiles and large fish.
However, the main threat to sea turtles are those caused by human interactions.
